BALI / INDONESIA

Hello friends and thanks for tuning again to the baliwaves. Hey and how about showing some love and take a look at the flashing banner over to the right of this. We are hoping to raise some so we can get some new camera equipment and helping you save some money at the same time. We’ve been doing our part here at baliwaves since ’99 bringing you a little bit of Bali each day, so show some love if you can.
Well with just around 2 weeks of this 8 week campaign left to run we have managed to scrape up just over AU$800.00 from our target of AU$6,000.00 I’d like to give the 13 people out of our average 100,000 viewers per month who did show some love a huge thank you.
Ok so here we go again friends of Bali, here’s another fresh photo gallery that we shot today once again here on Bali’s West Coast at Canggu. My early morning surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height in the 1-2ft range with a light ENE wind at 6.10AM.
So it was a no brainer for me to load the crew into the car and head for Canggu as the tide was running in. Arriving to find wave height also only in the 1-2ft+ range but nice and clean and plenty of fun little peaks on all 3 of the main sections. As the tide passed through the top and started to run out wave height did improve a little with some head high peelers and crowd wise it wasn’t too bad for this usually crowded location. Not too many hipsters about and some friendly smiling faces for a change.
Weather wise it was on and off sunny with more cloud moving in through the day. No chance of getting a glimpse of the super moon tonight in my part of the island with total cloud cover.
Tomorrow I’m hoping on a little bit more swell so I can take the boys for a run up the coast and hopefully the Russian’s have finished at Balian after locking out everyone for the last 3 days with their “surfing contest”. So dod what you always do and stay tuned to Bali’s one and only original baliwaves surf report website.
If you are looking for a quiet place to stay near some of Bali’s best waves, with a resident surf guide and yoga instructor at the resort, S Resorts Hidden Valley is a great choice.
