BALI / INDONESIA
27th November 2016
Hello friends and thanks for tuning again into the baliwaves. Hey and how about showing some love and take a look at the flashing banner over to the right of this. We are hoping to raise some cash so we can get some new camera equipment and helping you save some money at the same time. We’ve been doing our part here at baliwaves since ’99 bringing you a little bit of Bali each day, so show some love if you can.
Well with just 1 days to go of this 8 week campaign left to run we have managed to scrape up just over AU$1,400.00 from our target of AU$6,000.00 I’d like to give the 26 people out of our average 100,000 viewers per month who did show some love a huge thank you. 2 more days and then we are going to get serious ok so stay tuned.
This morning I was hoping for a little pulse in wave height but my first surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height in the 1-2ft range at best. That was between Kuta Reef and Airport left as the tide was still running in at 7.00AM.
But I thought I’d take a spin down to Uluwatu with my boy and see if we could shoot a few photos for you. On first view of Ulu things were not looking too good with only 2-2ft+ waves breaking between Temples and the Peak with a light on shore wind. But we stuck it out for awhile and eventually wave height did start to creep up with a few 4 foot sets. Lots of learners in the water and pretty good conditions for them I just hope they head back to Kuta beach when the swell does pick up.
Hey and as it shows in the last photo with the monkey and the sun glasses, yes they were my glasses… We were giving the poor caged buggers some fruit and a drink when the male snatched them off my face clean as a whistle. Lucky they were crappy el cheapo sunnys from Savage and not my favorite RayBan glasses. Apparently I was victim #5. So like I have always said….. stay away from the bloody monkeys bahahahahaha.
Weather wise it was mainly overcast with some sunny patches this morning and a warm old afternoon here in Tuban.
Hopefully we will see a little more size happening again tomorrow so make sure you stay tuned to the original Bali surf report since ’99.
