BALI / INDONESIA
17th – 18th November 2016
Hello friends and thanks for tuning again into the baliwaves. Hey and how about showing some love and take a look at the flashing banner over to the right of this. We are hoping to raise some cash so we can get some new camera equipment and helping you save some money at the same time. We’ve been doing our part here at baliwaves since ’99 bringing you a little bit of Bali each day, so show some love if you can.
Well with just days to go of this 8 week campaign left to run we have managed to scrape up just over AU$950.00 from our target of AU$6,000.00 I’d like to give the 17 people out of our average 100,000 viewers per month who did show some love a huge thank you.
Here we go again peeps with another action packed up close photo gallery that we smashed down on Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. When Ketut first phoned through his report from Ulu he was calling wave height in the 3-4ft+ range. But the tide was still running in and wave height certainly did get a lot bigger, lets say 4-6ft+ more like it. Surfing conditions as it shows in these photos (Nikon / Nikor / Nikon 300f2.8 with 2x Jessop convertor hand held in manual focus) were pristine with the wind blowing straight off shore out of the East. Crowd wise Ketut said the numbers were only between 20 – 30 during the whole time he was on the scene, morning till lunch.
Today the 18th and not much has changed except wave height had backed off a foot or two. outside we have a mostly blue sky with a light off shore Easterly wind at 2-5knot. I talked Ketut into taking another run back down to the bukit to catch the low tide on the Track. Our man has phoned through earlier calling 3-4 footers barreling down the Racetrack section with only 15 surfers in the water. I don’t know about you guys but I sure am anxious to take a look at the photos when Ketut gets back to Home Base. So stay tuned to Bali’s original surf report website (since ’99) for more news and up dates through out the day.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.1mtr High at 12.30PM.
Hey and how are these surfing conditions we have had all year now, we are getting some rain through the night and early mornings in my part of town but the wind continues to blow cleanly outta the SE to ESE even in the middle of November. So if your bored surfing your local grab a ticket to Bali and come and enjoy some classic Bali weather and waves.
If you are looking for a quiet place to stay near some of Bali’s best waves, with a resident surf guide and yoga instructor at the resort, S Resorts Hidden Valley is a great choice.
