Well it’s been a busy last few days for us here in Bali with new swell and a few kilometers covered to get to some of them. For starters I guess, this current photo gallery was shot over on the East Coast of Bali at 3 different locations. Too many good waves and too many good photos to show em all, ranging from head high to triple head high plus. The wind has been a bit “dicky” to say the least so there hasn’t been too many options for clean off shore wind. But if you were prepared to trade a little off shore for cross / shore wind there were lots of options for un crowded waves available.
Weather wise it’s been a mixed bag, from hot and sunny to pelting down rain over the weekend. This morning the 12th and it’s been mostly overcast since the early morning rain let up. Right now at 10.30AM the wind is fresh out of the WNW with the outside temperature still a warm 29 degree’s Celsius. I have to say the water temperature has been a perfect 23-24C as well.
Speaking of rain we took a run down to Uluwatu for a look earlier this morning. And I have to say there were a few waves in the 3-4ft+ range that were clean enough to surf, but no surfers in the water. On further investigation of the stairs and “cave” entrance there was a Force 5 rapids(rain water) running and a churning mess down in the actual “cave” making it a life or death / one mistake type effort to get out to the waves. I will load a video onto our baliwaves Face Book page as soon as I’ve done this and see for yourself ok.
Alright then Anyone waiting for an email reply, I’m on it today and tomorrow ok, so hang in there and stick it out.
