BALI / INDONESIA
27th – 28th December 2016
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok we’ll first off sorry for the typo error on yesterday’s report, I was practicing for next year already.. Anyway yesterday the wind felt like it had a bit of WNW in it so Ketut took a run up to K-Mas to see if there was anything happening. As it shows in this current photo gallery the swell was still there but the wind was misbehaving, blowing cross on shore.
Ketut was saying that the crowd peaked at around 20 surfers in the water while he was on the scene.
I also had a report from Serangan calling in cleaner surfing conditions due to the way it faces. Still plenty of swell and some solid sets coming through and lots of broken boards to go with it. It’s always a lot cleaner at Serangan when the wind is strong out of the West.
Today the 28th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have backed down a touch but still hanging in there in the 2-fft range with the Westerly wind still making a mess of things between Kuta Reef and Airport left. But a little while ago the wind did back off and I hope it stays that way. We have had a solid week or more of this wind and it’s gotta blow itself out soon right.
Weather wise we had some heavy rain over night and a few drops into the morning. Then it’s basically been a warm day with an over cast sky again. Temperature wise the mercury is at 29 degree’s Celsius at 12.15PM
Ok friends of Bali we’ll be back again tomorrow with some more news and fresh views on surfing and weather conditions from here in Bali, so stay tuned.
