Ok so here we go with another 50 or so photos that we shot yesterday over on the East Coast of Bali. Talk about windy, it was hard to keep the camera steady with wind gusts of over 20knot out of the West. Wave height was also whipped up from the wind and hitting Serangan in the head to easily double over head high class. Lots of lumps and bumps from the short period swell yesterday but still plenty of waves, and that’s what counts right.
On the 20th the wind was just starting to kick in and swirl around the island out of control, We checked Keramas first and the wind was strong on shore out of the NE and only 2-3ft waves happening so we gave that a miss. Then by the time we got to Sanur the wind was strong out of the SSW. Meanwhile back in Tuban the wind was howling outta the WSW, lay day.
This morning the 22nd and at least it’s a nice sunny day coming on, washing machine conditions on the Outer Reefs, 2-4ft wind churned waves between Kuta Reef and Airport left with the tide just starting to run back in now at 11.00AM. It’s a no brainer to call the whole West Coast of Bali blown out again today.
Weather wise I have included a couple of gif images from a couple of different weather / swell forecasting sites. With the obvious tropical cyclone (TC) spinning down between North Western Australia and Indonesia. It looks like this is going to be spinning plenty of wind our way over the next 2-3 days before it buggers off.
It also looks like Bali gets waves on Christmas day and we might even get to see in the New Year with swell, So if you want to surf this Chrissy period get over to Bali.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 1.9mtr High around 5.30PM
