BALI / INDONESIA
17th March 2017
Hello everyone and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Well as it shows it today’s photo gallery we finally got our wish of some more size and power in our waves. We pulled up this morning just after sun up to find an empty line up with 3-4 footers peeling off on the bottom of the low tide. And with the forecasters calling for some more size today we knew the incoming tide would be when we would see some size, and that’s about what happened. By 7.30AM the set waves were easily pushing the triple head high or 6ft range. Clean and glassy with just a tinge of off shore wind that lasted until the end of our session around 9.45AM. Crowd wise the numbers would have peaked at 10 surfers.
Weather wise it was a stormy looking morning with pre dawn lightning and lots of big black clouds. But we never did see any rain and it was mainly hot and sunny where we were on Bali’s East Coast today. ight now at 4.25PM the wind is now coming out of the East at 5 – 7knot.
Alrighty then friends enjoy your Friday and the start of the weeked for some of us. Keep an eye on the baliwaves as we’ll be out there on the wave hunt to keep you guys up to date.
