BALI / INDONESIA
18th – 19th March 2017
Hello surfers and thanks for taking the time out to stop by the baliwaves (working through the weekends since back in 1999) for today’s news and our best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Yesterday the 18th from all reports I had wave height was starting to show some size over on the East Coast with an early morning light NW off shore wind. We didn’t get the chance to get out yesterday, me mainly becuase I took a small chunk out of the bottom of my toe the day before.
Today the 19th and this morning we waited for the tide to bottom out before we hit the road over to the East side of the island. Hoping to score some clean morning wind and swell to go with it. The tide was just starting to push back in around 8.00AM and it wasn’t long before the 3-4ft waves turned into 3-5ft with much bigger freak sets keeping the line up honest. The rain cleared out around 8.30AM leaving super clean and some great shaped waves that kept coming through consistently until the wind started to shift late morning.
Weather wise it was an overcast morning that did turn into some rain over on the East Coast, looking pretty damp down towards Nusa Dua and the bukit area. But by 8.30AM the sun was powering up with today’s max temperature peaking at 32 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction was NW turning W – WSW by 10.30AM.
Ok then crew as you may well know by know we are expecting some solid swell smacking into Bali and most parts of Indonesia. This swell should hang in there and rage through into Tuesday. So keep an eye on our free to view Web Cam that is pointed straight into the famous line up of Impossible’s.
