BALI / INDONESIA
19th – 20th April 2017
Hi everyone and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (show casing Bali’s waves since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Here’s our photographic results on yesterdays mission to Canggu. Ketut was on the scene from around 7.45AM through until 10.30AM. The tide was still pretty low at first so the main focus and crowd were surfing the sand bar. But as the tide started to move in it shifted to the river mouth rights. Surfing conditions were perfect for the early session with just a light NE breeze keeping the waves clean and glassy through until the wind shifted to the W around 10.00AM but still clean enough for a lazy surf.
Today the 20th and wave height is still holding around the same size with 2-4 footers breaking out the front on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. There was already a few surfers on all sections when I made my check, with Middle Reef and Airport left picking up a little more size than Kuta reef.
Weather wise it looks like the season is finally starting to shift, no rain has been seen around these parts and the presence of a fresh ESE wind outside right now seals the deal on the 2016 – 2017 “wet season”. Temperature wise right now at high noon has 31 degree’s Celsius, wind strength is pushing 10 – 12knot out of the ESE.
Tomorrows surf forecast is showing a slight drop in size, not too much, with similar wind as today.
Ok friends that’s me for today, I’ve just had 3 days stuck at home trying to catch up on stuff, fix, clean things etc and now I’m just about due for another surfing binge. So keep an eye on the original Bali surf report cause we’ll be back out there agin tomorrow, adios.
