SELAMET HARI RAYA GALUNGAN DAN KUNINGAN
Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time out and stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Well as it shows in today’s photo gallery there has been plenty of waves, but not your standard Bali perfection that we have come to depend on. Yesterday the 4th and we were down at Ulu on the southern end of the island looking for a bit more size and power. We were praying for the wind to swing off shore but that never happened.
Today the 5th and with the wind sill coming out of the western quad we headed back over to the East coast for a look see. We did end up going out for a paddle but with wave height only in the 1-3ft range iut was hard work. Surfing conditions were clean with a light off shore wind but just not enough power happening and way too many kooks on mals.
Weather wise it’s been mostly hot throught he day time with some heavy night time rain still happening.
Ok on the news front, yesterday down at Bingin beach on the bukit there was pandamoniam when a fire started and ended up engulfing a few on the warungs and home stays right on the beach. I think something similar happened down there last year as well, and again at Balangan beach the year before.
One other thing you might like to know is that Keramas beach will be OFF LIMITS to all tourists and locals from the 8th of April with the Japanese surfing association holding a contest there with long and short board divisions.
Ok team, we are going to be getting up early tomorrow and trying to score some good waves so make sure you keep one eye on the original Bali surf report website.
Ok hey and if anyone is thinking about a surf filled lifestyle in the tropics check out the new Surf Resort up for sale, lease or time share down the bottom of home page or in our REAL ESTATE section on baliwaves.
