Damai Bungalows, South Sumatra
30th May 2017
” Things here in Lampung have been flowing along nicely. This season has all the hallmarks of seasons a few years ago, consistent trade winds, hot and sunny…… GOOD!!!!
Good for the point, good for the punters and good for Dedi our surf guide/photog LoL . We’ve had some good swells over the past couple of weeks also, from solid point waves down to smaller days were the beachies come into play. Dedi has had each group into waves they’re comfortable with and also been snapping away getting shots of everyone to take back home. Had some awesome crew stay as well, 1 notable mention was Mitch from Yallingup who broke a 3 year voodoo completing the ” Damai 6 longy’s in 1 hour challenge” . When i had him gone at 4 1/2 down Oldy, Lee and Kiwi through on some pumping tunes, rallied behind him and got the lad home…..Well done mate, only the 12th person in the cosmos to complete it yeewww. Which brings me to a point to mention, we are a surf camp, not a resort…..never wanted to be, never said we were..
We’re a surf camp, we surf, we drink, we rock out when the time’s right…..we don’t do cups of mocca friggin chino & we don’t do bloody yoga either…… If its good food, a comfy bed, cold beer and a long reef break on ya doorstep you’re after……hit us up, we’d be stoked to host ya’s……
Quick condolences also to the families and friends of both Patty & Des who sadly passed away within a few days of each other in Gland and Oz respectively, both great guys and past guests, all the crew here send jungle vibes to everyone concerned……rip guys…….
We’ve also been working with Slim putting together an exclusive offer for Baliwaves readers, stay tuned for an update on that
That’s about it for this report, with a full house for the next couple of weeks and some nice swell in the wings it looking like some fun times ahead, check us out at www.damaibungalows.com for all the info
Stay safe and get shacked…… Jungle Jas…… “
