BALI / INDONESIA
12th – 13th May 2017
Hello everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
First of all I’d like to thank everyone for all the birthday wishes yesterday and yes I did have to much to drink last night heh heh.
On the day after our solid swell at Padang Padang the 12th did see a drop in wave height with 3-5ft waves hitting the Outer Reefs of Tuban. But surfing conditions were tricky with a strong off shore SE wind gusting up to 25 knot.
Yesterday the 13th and we thought we’d sneak up to Canggu for an early session arriving just after 6.30AM. Our first sight of the waves it was looking like it was only in the 2-3ft range but as the tide pushed further in it wasn’t long and it was almost maxing out with double head high set waves. The sand bar was grinding through some board and body snapping lefts while the right hander on the river mouth was also dealing out some good waves and beatings. Surfing conditions stayed clean and tidy through until around 11.30AM.
Weather wise it was just another beautiful day in Bali.
This morning the 14th and it’s still a bit dark for a surf check but we will be heading off to see what we can find in another half hour or so so stay tuned for more up dates in our baliwaves Twitter feed on site.

On the swell outlook it looks like we will see some new swell hitting Bali on the 15th. Not as big as the last one we got but there should be still enough to go round.
