Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website since it all began) for our latest news and the very best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the wave riddled little tropical holiday island of Bali.
Ah yes as it shows in our latest photo gallery (52 photos) we ended up down on the Southern end of the island at the ever famous Uluwatu. Yes eventually after first taking a run up to see what was happening on the beach breaks and finding conditions looking good for Ulu. You can see wave height was pushing double head high on the set waves hitting the Main Peak with 4 footers breaking up at Temple’s. I didn’t get to stick around for the afternoon Racetrack session but according to a trusted source there were a few barrels belting through the Track. Crowd wise it wasn’t too bad either with loads of sunshine thrown in.
Watch out for cheeky monkeys down at Uluwatu and other locations that still.. have some natural vegetation left around them. One young lady had her eye glasses grabbed off the table she was sitting at, right next to mine. They are so quick so watch out. I ended up swapping the monkey a banana for the girls glasses in the end.
This morning the 7th and it’s just starting to dawn right now at 6.15AM, mainly because the sky is clouded over and even looking like the possibility of a few drops of rain. The wind this morning is already coming hard out of the SE at 12 – 15knots. pretty good evidence of an increase in wave height this morning.
