BALI / INDONESIA
16th – 17th June 2017
Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so as we said yesterday Ketut put in a couple of good hours down at Bingin beach yesterday, and today’s photo gallery is the end result. As it shows wave height was pushing the limit on some of the set waves and delivering some long and deep tube rides. Ketut was calling a solid crowd and plenty of carnage going down and plenty of skin on the reef. There was also plenty of lines and some good set waves hitting Impossible’s but not many make able ones as usual for that place. While further down the reef Padang Padang was only in the 2-4ft size.
Today the 17th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was showing wave height in the 3-4ft range with bigger set waves hitting Middle Reef. The tide was low at the time and the wind was light and clean off shore out of the East. Not many surfers in the water at the time but I’m sure there was as the tide filled in through out the morning.
I also had a phone in report from Uluwatu this morning and they were saying that wave height was still hanging in there with 4-6ft waves hitting Temple’s and the Main Peak. Surfing conditions also clean and tidy with light off shore wind at 9.00AM
Weather wise outside today there was some cloud about early but not at 3.30PM it’s mostly sunny with the temperature currently at 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 68%. Wind direction is out of the SE at 12-16knot.
Ok crew we’ll be out again tomorrow for a Sunday Session so keep an eye out for more reports and up dates ok.
