BALI / INDONESIA
14th – 15th June 2017
Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you you in the
loop with Indo since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible
views on surfing and weather conditions from here on everybodies favorite
tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Yesterday the 14th I was out of the equation, detoured up into my families
mountain side village for the day. I have to admit it is so refreshing up there
surrounded by just nature for a change. As it shows in our latest photo gallery
Ketut was down at Indonesia’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Wave height
was slowing building yesterday with 3-5ft and the occassional bigger freak set.
Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the Trade Wind blowing clean off
shore on the Peak.
I took another surf check on the Outer Reefs just around sunset and wave height
was still coming through in the 2-4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport
left.
This morning the 15th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outers was still showing
wave height in the 2-4ft class between Kuta reef and Airport left. The tide was
just coming off the bottom and the wind light off shore at the time. Now at
9.30AM the Trade Wind is kicking in and the off shore wind is getting stronger.
Wave height should get a little bigger through out the day with the in coming
tide.
Weather wise there was some early morning cloud around but it’s spacing out now
and a lot more blue sky. Temperature wise now at 9.30AM the mercury is rising,
currently at 27 Celsius, Humidity @ 87%. Wind is East at 10 – 14knot+.
Ketut has called in from over on the East side calling 3-4ft waves with clean
and glassy conditions, so we will have more photos for ya’s later on today.
