BALI / INDONESIA
21st – 22nd June 2017
Hello again everyone and thanks a bunch for dropping into the baliwaves (the one and only original baliwaves since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Alrighty then as it shows in our current photo gallery yesterday the 20th we were over on the East coast chasing light favorable wind and low crowds. Arriving around 7.00AM to find wave height still ok in the chest to slightly over head sector but with already 20 eager surfers in the water at Keramas. At least we got the favorable wind part right. The crowd crept up to almost 30 at one stage but there were still waves to be had for those in the know. By the time I came in as the tide was starting to drop out there were only around a dozen left in the line up.
Weather wise it was cloudy and grey when we left home at 6.30AM but the sun was out doing it’s thing at Keramas.
This morning the 22nd and right now at 6.30AM it’s just gone dawn here on the holiday island and the birds are chirping, gotta be good. There’s still a lot of big black cloud showing down towards Nusa Dua and Uluwatu but plenty of blue sky here in Tuban. As soon as this is on line for ya’s we’ll be heading out to get some more waves, some where so stay tuned for more up dates and info through out the morning on our Twitter and Instagram feeds on baliwaves.
Wind wise right now it’s coming out of the ESE at 5-8knot in Tuban and will; more than likely punch up into the 20knt class by early afternoon.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.5mtr High at 9.33AM and we also have a New Moon rising tomorrow so get ready for some solid tidal ranges over the next4-5 days.
