BALI / INDONESIA
19th – 20th June 2017
Hi peeps and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves (keeping you up to date with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok well yesterday the 19th and it was a bad photography day here on the island of the Gods. As it shows in these colorless photos we took up at Canggu it was pretty much raining all day with the exception of a 5 min sunny break. We opted for Canggu knowing it would be cross / on shore but also knew there wouldn’t be too many surfers up there as well. Except for the all day rain we were pretty well spot on.
Today the 20th and we made a similar call this morning to try and avoid the numbers by going down to Balangan for a paddle. Wave height was in the 2-3ft range with over head 4 ft set waves. Not the best quality and a lot of close outs but we did beat the crowds again.
Weather wise today we had more rain lasting through to midday with the sun making an appearance through the afternoon. The wind was also coming lightly out of the NNW through untile the Tradewind kicked in around 10.45Am.
Ok friends just a quicky for now cause I have to get down the beach for a late afternoon… er, surf check right. Catch ya’s again tomorrow and hopefully the sun will be out.
