BALI / INDONESIA
11th – 12th July 2017
Hello everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the one stop surfing holiday destination that’s got something for everyone, Bali.
Ok yesterday the 11th and I was pretty beat up (and a little hung over) from 3 big days of the Uluwatu Boardriders Challenge 2017) so I just hung out at home and did stuff.
But this morning the 12th and the boys and I were up early and heading South in search of some un crowded waves. And that’s pretty well what we got, we swapped power and perfection for some not so perfect or powerful 1-3 footers. But when we arrived there was only 1 other surfers in the water and my team was pretty happy with things. As usual at Balangan beach there are a lot of close out waves and you really need to get up to top speed to make any sections as fast as possible. But there are always a few that peel off if your lucky and know what to look for. Like I said only 1 surfer in the water but by 10.00AM there was over 120 mainly surf school kooks chucking their boards and well, just being kooks in general. Lets get it clear your not “surfing” if your an adult getting pushed into waves right.
As far as I know the warungs at Balangan are still all standing and the locals still know nothing of their fate. Only time is going to tell, fingers crossed the developers piss off.
Weather wise it was back to some real Bali weather with just blue sky and sun shine over us down on the bukit at Balangan.
Ok that’s me for now it’s just about time to get ready for the final game in the STATE OF ORIGIN and my dough is on the BLUES. Have a good one and stand bye the baliwaves for more news, photos and up dates through out tomorrow cause we’ll be getting up early again on the morrow.
