BALI / INDONESIA
4th – 5th July 2017
Hi surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in tune with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on this planets No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Like I said yesterday it was barreling off it’s head down at Uluwatu yesterday and here are some of the photos that we scored while Ketut was on the scene for the morning session. Average wave height was in the 3-4ft class with some bigger 5-6ft freak sets hitting the Main Peak. No shortage of waves or surfers and by the look at it everyone got there share of tubes at Ulu yesterday.
Today the 5th and my 7.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off a touch. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was still ok in the 2-3ft+ range. Maybe the odd 4 footer hitting Middle Reef. But the tide was high at the time so KR and Al were looking better. I was almost tempted to hit for a paddle my self seeing as though there was only a handful of surfers on Airports, but the SE Tradey was already starting to get fierce with gusts up to 12-15knot.
Ketut went for a run up to the beach breaks of Legian this morning and phoned through saying there were some fun left and rights in the chest to slightly over head class along the stretch. So I’ll get you some photos when we get them sorted out ok.
Weather wise outside right now at 12.45PM we have a mostly blue sky, the temperature is a warm 28 Degree’s Celsius (feels like it’s over 30C), Humidity is at 73%. Wind direction is SE at 12 – 17knot.
I’ve also loaded NEW surf reports from our friends at Nias and G-land this morning so make sure you take a good look around the baliwaves.
The next tide today will be a 0.7mtr Low at 2.21PM
