BALI / INDONESIA
2nd – 3rd July 2017
Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next Indo surf mission since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week. The latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Alright then as I mentioned in our last surf report Ketut was over on the East coast of Bali at Keramas and here are some of the photos he shot while oin the scene. Great to see father and son team of Devis Ratif and his son Tenshi out there showing everyone how to do it. Local stand out “Lempog” was also out there shredding up his share as well.
Yesterday the 2nd and wave height was looking that good with only 1-2ft+ waves hitting the Outer reefs of Tuban and only marginally bigger down on the bukit. We didn’t shoot photos yesterday as Ketut and I were busy getting my double outrigger ready for the water. I also thought I had better head out test her out and make sure she was water tight and safe. But more on that in our next FISHING REPORT that will be coming very soon.
There wasn’t much happening at Balangan, Bingin or Impossible’s while I was cruising down off the Southern end of Bali. But there were some waist to head high plus waves breaking at Uluwatu as always. Even around at Nyang Nyang’s there wasn’t much happening.
Weather wise out on the ocean in a open boat for 8hrs it was pretty darn hot, but with the right clothing and sun screen and fish everywhere it was totally bearable.
Today the 3rd and wave height on the Outer Reefs this morning at 7.00AM was still only showing 1-2ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airports with a light Easterly wind. Hopefully by this afternoon we will start to feel a little more swell around the island. Ketut’s going to be heading down to Uluwatu to see what’s happening while I head up to our families mountain side village to pick up my kids who have been holidaying at the farm.
Weather wise out side this morning it’s anopther good looking day coming on and right now at 7.45AM the temperature is already on 26 degree’s Celsius. So if your battling the cold somewhere get yaself a ticket to the Bali paradise today, you know your going to love it.
Hey and get ready because Uluwatu Boardriders will be holding their anual Uluwatu Boardriders Challenge surfing contest early next month on the 7th till 9th of July. We’ll be there with bells on for the best local surfing contest of the year.
Anyone interested in owning a massive bungalow / villa complex in Balian here in Bali had better check out the free hold deal we have just added to our baliwaves Real Estate pages. This set up would be perfect for a surf camp.
