BALI / INDONESIA
29th – 30th July 2017
Howdy folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (The one and only original baliwaves since 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so to start things of here’s 30 odd photos that we shot down at Uluwatu yesterday and it was good to see the swell still hitting the Peak and Outside Racetrack sections.
This morning the 30th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off a little after such a long and solid run of waves. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was in the 2-3ft+ class with Middle Reef looking ok for a paddle with the low end of the tide. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light off shore ESE wind.
Today we also have the Bali’s Big Eco Weekend, with the Quiksilver Challenge happening right now as I type.. Ketut is down on the scene rubbing shoulders with the likes of Mark Richards, Tom Carrol, Matt Hoy, Simon Anderson and host of other local and international surfing icons. Ketut called through to say there were 3-4 footers barreling down the Racetrack on the low. So if you haven’t got anything on (in Bali today) make sure you get yourselves down to Uluwatu and check out the show.
We would also like to say Thanks to Quiksilver for the invite last Friday night for what turned out to be a great night at the Boardriders Cafe to socialize with some legends in surfing.
Weather wise outside here in Tuban we did get off to a nice start with lots of blue sky. Right now looking to the South there’s a some thick grey clouds starting to move in. Temperature wise the mercury is sitting on 26 degree’s (10.55AM), Humidity is at 85%. Wind direction is out of the East at 8 – 13knot.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 1.8mtr High just after 2.00PM.
