Hello everyone and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (working
through the weekends since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best
possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s
No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
So here’s a bunch of barrels that Ketut grabbed from down at Indo’s premier
surfing location of Uluwatu yesterday the 30th of June. And as it shows it was
just that a full on barrel fest out on all 3 main sections of Ulu from Temples
down through to the Racetrack. Good to see my old friend Uluwatu local Wayan
“Gobleg” out there still tearing the waves to pieces and getting deeper than
anyone else.
Weather wise down on the bukit yesterday as it reflects in the photos it was
mostly overcast, but still right for board shorts and bikinis.
Today the 1st of July and our 7.15AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was
showing a nice little bump in wave height with 2-4ft waves showing between Kuta
Reef and Airport Left. At the time the tide was still running out and the wind
only just coming out of the East. Middle Reef was pulling in the most size as
usual and there were a few surfers already out there having some fun.
Our man Ketut is over on the East Coast of Bali this morning at the always
popular location of Keramas. Only funny thing is that this morning with 3-4ft
waves in clean as you can conditions there were only 12-15 surfers in the
water, ya missed it. We’ll have some photographic eveidance of it for ya’s
later on, so stay tuned to the one and only baliwaves (original Bali surf
report since 1999)
Weather wise today it’s been overcast since dawn and there was even a few drops
of rain here in Tuban around an hour ago. Right now at 11.15AM the temp is 27
degree’s Celsius, Humidity is 86%. Wind is coming out of the ESE-SE at 6-
10knot+.
Hey and get ready because Uluwatu Boardriders will be holding their anual
Uluwatu Boardriders Challenge surfing contest early next month on the 7th till
9th of July. We’ll be there with bells on for the best local surfing contest of
the year.
Ok then have a good one and don’t drift too far away from the baliwaves cause
we will be bringing it to you all through the weekend.
