Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (working through the weekends since back in 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from here on every sane surfers favorite tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Alright then here’s another bunch of photos that we shot yesterday down on the Southern end of the island at Bingin Beach. We headed down there early to catch the bottom of the Low tide as Bingin is at it’s best on the Low). From the top of the stairs we were stoked to see only a hand full of surfers in the water with clean as can be waist to over head high set waves. Pretty much optimum size for Bingin. As it shows in the photos it wasn’t all time perfect Bingin as the waves were not quite hitting the inside bowl section perfectly, just a little wide of the mark. It was an absolutely stunning morning down there for the early morning but by late morning it was looking a bit like Kuta Beach with the amount of people on the beach and in the water. First time I’ve seen it like that.
Weather wise it was perfect with fresh off shore wind and blue sky all day.
Today the 13th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off a little more with 1-3ft waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was pretty low at the time so Middle Reef was the only real option at the time (no surfers were in the water yet) and picking up the bigger set waves.
Weather wise outside right now at 11.30AM, we have some cloud moving in, fresh SE wind temperature is 27 degree’s Celsius.
Get ready fro some new swell to start hitting Bali tomorrow
WTF have I been doing all morning then you might ask ? Ok I’ve also loaded up fresh surf reports from our mates at the Kandui Surf Resort (Mentawai Islands) and the good guys at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Report (G-Land) plus loaded up the latest news from PERERENAN BOARDRIDERS CLUB about their up coming surfing contest later this month. Not too mention new video clip on our Baliwaves FACEBOOK PAGE (@baliwaves). Then answer a few emails and return text messages. Then fixed a bathroom crisis here at home, looking forward to lunch so I can take a break buahahaha. Maybe even an afternoon beer down the beach is on the cards, it is Sunday right.

I’d also like to Thank my main man at DIVERSE SURFBOARDS for delivering my brand new custom order. Haven’t seen a board as well made and finished as this new one since the last one I scored off DIVERSE. You will be seeing more of it as soon as I get back in the water…. soon.
Alright then I would like to give warning to all the parents that are bringing their toddlers to Bali and want to stay in the perfect villa set up. Just a few days back there was a tragic drowning of an Australian 3yr old here in Bali in a villa pool. Please take care as there are no such things as safety fences or gates for kids here in Bali in villa’s. And any parent knows how hard it is to keep track of their little ones every second of the day. So please take this into consideration.
Please don’t leave your common sense at home ok !
Another important issue for the locals here in Bali especially with winter going down in the Southern Hemisphere and the season for super flu in Australia. Please don’t bring flu’s and virus strains with you on holidays. Make sure you get to the Doctor first before getting on the plane and infecting all the passengers and then maybe infecting everyone you come in contact with here in Bali. You wouldn’t go to work with the Flu so don’t bring it to Bali please.
