BALI / INDONESIA
14th – 15th October 2017
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for the latest bews and our best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on every sane surfers favorite tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Mt Agung up-date…… I hope you never cancelled your Bali holiday, well unless your a Mountain climber there’s no need for concern around our beaches. Denpasar airport operating as normal since the “travel warnings” began.
Ok so here’s a quick collection of photos that we shot over on the East Coast. As it shows wave height was mostly in the 2-3ft class with a couple of slightly over head freak sets. Clean surfing conditions at this location through the early morning before the SE-SSE trade wind has been kicking in around midday with gusto. Yesterday the 15th we also had the first morning of SSW-SW wind for Spring. This is a bit of a nuisance when the wind comes out of this quadrant as pretty well no where on the island (where there’s waves) is off shore.
This morning the 16th and right now at 5.45AM we have a mostly over cast morning out there and there’s probably been some rain falling somewhere on the island over night. Wave height I’m thinking should be similar to yesterday so we should be able to find something to have a splash in. Temperature wise the mercury is already on 26 degree’s Celsius, with the Humidity at 91%. Wind direction is onlky just a baby’s breat out of the W-SW at 1knot.
Stay tuned to the baliwaves and I’ll keep you up to ate with some more Twitter andf Instagram up dates through out the morning once we get to where we are going.
