BALI / INDONESIA
28th October 2017
Hi surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves (your eye’s on Indo since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the wave riddled tropical surfing holiuday destination of Bali.
Mt Agung up-dates, well I guess I’m just about over it just like the rest of Bali. Active volcanos are not a new thing to Indonesia and never will be. But I’m sure all the commotion helped sell a lot of news papers and collect a lot of website clicks for some.
Surfwise here’s a few photos of where we surfed yesterday morning the 27th. We arrived just as the tide was bottoming out so it was a touch shallow but there were some nice waves in the chest to over head class. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at first before the wind swung to the SSE blowing cross / on shore. I also do have to mention that there was quite a bit of stinging jelly fish in the water as the tide started to push back in.
Weather wise as I mentioned in our Twitter feed was very hot out of the water.
Today the 28th and seeing as though the wind was nice and light we thought we’d head down to the South Western end of Bali to see what was happening at Balangan. We had hoped wave height might have bumped up a touch over night. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with no wind but wave height was still only just in the 2-2ft range and maybe a couple of freak head high set waves. Crowd wise it was perfect with only half 5 surfers in the water through until 9 – 9.30AM when the troops started to arrive.
Weather wise another hot summers day here on the holiday island and right now at 3.00PM the temperature is still a warm 32 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is art 53%. Wind direction is on shore coming out of the South at 4-9knot.
Ok crew have a good one this evening and hopefully by tomorrow we should have some decent waves hitting all over Bali. So stay tuned to the one and only original Bali surf report, we’ve got you covered.
