BALI / INDONESIA
11th – 12th November 2017
Hi peeps and welcome to the weekend her on the baliwaves (keeping you up to date with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropcail surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so yesterday the 11th and not only was it another perfect sunny day here on the holiday island we were also lucky to be on the receiving end of a nice little bump in wave height, coinciding Hari Raya Kuniningan As it shows in our latest photo installment we were laughing all the way, turning up at 7.00AM to find only 4 other surfers in the water and some very slick waves peeling off. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy until around the time we left at 10.00AM. The number of surfers did pick up a little more but basically un crowded to say the least.
I also took another surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban at 4.45PM and there were some very nice waves peeling off on Middle Reef even though the wind was a little cross off shore out of the SSE by that time of the day.
Weather wise it was a very hot one out of the shade, but some cloud did roll in for some showers just around sun set cooling everything down nicely.
This morning the 12th and it’s almost 5.30AM and still a bit dark outside to see what’s in stall for us just yet. But stay tuned to the baliwaves for more up dates through out the morning viw the baliwaves social media scene. At least I can hear the birds chirping outside my window, so that’s a good sign
Also with the wet season just around the corner I thought I’d better give you a heads up on the semi new Toll Road that runs from Nusa Dua across to Benoa Hr with another exit / entry near the airport as well. Since October 1st the owners have made it a cashless Toll. No E tag but you must have a pre paid Toll card and you still have to stop and swipe the card as well.. So unless you buy a pre paid card before you drive / ride onto it you can expect bigger delays at the toll gate. The old road from the airport to Benoa is pretty much exactly the same distance anyway.
On the Sport Fishing scene here my crew have been doing extremely well with some solid catches of Spanish Mackerel, one boat landing 31 fish in one session. Contact us here if you would like to know more or get out for some Balinese sports fishing.
