BALI / INDONESIA
16th – 17th November 2017
Hello everyone and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves (delivering a little piece of Bali to you since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for hard earned tropical surfing holiday dollar destination of Bali.
Ok so just to get the ball rolling this current photo gallery was taken over on the East side of the island on the 16th. Keramas was the location for 2-3ft+ waves in clean and glassy conditions that lasted through until 10.00AM. No shortage of surfers at this o n the day from sun up until the wind turned it to mush. But still plenty of waves coming through and I’m sure fun waves were had by all.
Weather wise it was very hot over on the black sand beach with the mid morning temp well over 30 degree’s Celsius.
Yesterday the 17th and we headed back over to the East side with the early morning wind coming fresh out of the West and on shore from Balian to Uluwatu. But on the East side it was clean off shore. Unfortunately wave height was down into the 1-3ft class and lacking a little power. The surf school craze was in full force as well with learners on mals taking advantage of the easy going conditions. The wind eventually turned to the SSW around late morning and for awhile, even though the wind was on shore it started to show a few better sized set waves with the tide running out.
This morning the 18th and as the charts were all predicting the waves have all but gone. Our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing, or not showing anything breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The wind was light out of the North at the time and the tide running in. Best bet today was to go for a swim and recoup for tomorrow in hope of a small bump in size.
Right now outside at 1.12PM the temperature is on 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 77% with more cloud moving in. Wind direction is now fresh out of the SSW at 8-12knot.
Ok friends have a good one and check in with the baliwaves again tomorrow to see what’s happening on Bali’s surf scene.
On the Sport Fishing scene here my crew have been doing extremely well with some solid catches of Spanish Mackerel, one boat landing 31 fish in one session. Contact us here if you would like to know more or get out for some Balinese sports fishing.
