BALI / INDONESIA
22nd – 23rd November 2017
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (bringin you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for today’s latest news and our best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the happy little tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok as I mentioned yesterday the 22nd we were over on the East side of the island and into some fun 2-3ft+ waves. As it shows in our latest photo gallery surfing conditions were clean and glassy and if my memory serves me well there was only around 15 surfers in the water, max. and when we packed up to head home there were only 8 left as the wind was coming in a bit more on shore. Keramas can be like that sometimes if your lucky. Or if there’s been a tonne of cancellations from volcanophobics hehehhe.
Weather wise it was mostly unbearably hot on the black sand beach out of the shade or shelter of the surf.
Today the 23rd, and with similar morning conditions and just a little more swell happening we thought we’d be pretty dumb not to go back and hopefully score some more, bigger and better waves at KMas. Arriving just as the tide was starting to run back in, only just, to find 20 surfers already in the water and wave height in the 2-3ft class. But it was showing signs of a slight bump with the tide and that’s exactly what we got. By mid tide we were surfing head to well over head high waves with some draining shallow inside sections. Crowd wise it also saw a significant bump in numbers with almost 40 surfers out there by 10.00AM. There were also maybe another 10 down at Carparks and I could also see a solid group way down at the Colonels.
Weather wise thankfully there was a little more cloud cover and not quite as hot standing on the black sand shooting. Temperature wise it would have made it easily to 31 degree’s Celsius before the afternoon rain that dumped hard right around 2.00PM. Now at 2.55PM the temp is on 29C, Humidity is at 79%. Wind is reading at 5-7knot out of the East but I’m not 100% on that.
Ok friends we shot another whole bunch of sick photos for ya’s again today so stay tuned and we’ll have those on line for you ASAP. And stay close cause we’ll be heading out for a quick dawny tomorrow as well.
