BALI / INDONESIA
23rd – 24th November 2017
Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (your eye’s on the waves here in Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday dollar, if it’s waves you want. Then it’s the World’s No.1 holiday island of Bali you need.
Ok just a quick up date seeing as though it’s Friday. So here’s another action packed photo gallery from where we were yesterday over on Bali’s East coast. As it shows surfing conditions were clean and glassy for the morning session before the wind shifted to the South around 10.30AM. There was a little more energy in the ocean as well with the peak of our bump in wave height. Plenty of tube time on offer and a tricky shallow inside section. Crowd wise there was a lot more action as well with the numbers peaking at 35 as the tide was flowing in.
Weather wise it was more cloudy and mostly over cast with a sneaky patch of blue every nbow and then. But by the afternoon the clouds rolled in and we scored some heavy rain that really never let up until early this morning.
There was also a few glimpses of the top of Mt Agung yesterday from where we were and it looks like the smoke has backed off again. In fact it wasn’t really black smoke but more cloudy grey in color. No evacuation from our family village in the foothills like a month or so ago and business as usual in Karangasem.
This morning the 24th and our 8.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height breaking in the 1-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean enough but with the wind coming out of the West at 2-5knot.
Weather wise right now at 12.00noon the outside temperature is on 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 79%. Light overcast but not looking like rain at the moment. Wind is light and variable.
