BALI / INDONESIA
29th – 30th October 2017
Hello everyone and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping Bali surf reports real since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on every sane surfers perfect tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so we we have had a very busy last 3 days of chasing the best waves on offer all over the island, and that’s what you have to do if you want to get the goods.
On the 29th we were surfing over on the East Coast arriving reasonably early to find wave height in the solid 3-5ft+ or head to double head high (Bali) plus region with clean and glassy surfing conditions. The other bonus was that there were only a handful of surfers in the water when we hit it. But as the morning wore on there did quite a solid turn up of *surfers.
This is where our current photo gallery was shot.
Yesterday the 30th and we were way up the West Coast of Bali at one of my favorite locations. We turned into the car park right on 7.30AM to find more 3-5 footers peeling off for up to 350mtrs and again only a hand full of *surfers in the water. At one stage I was the only surfer out the back waiting for the set waves. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light off shore wind lasting through until 10.00AM.
Today the 31st and you don’t want to hear what we were surfing this morning I know… Today we were back over on the East Coast at 7.30AM with perfect head to double head high waves and a totally empty line up for the first hour. Then we had another 4-6 surfers join us for the last hour. Surfing conditions were clean off shore with the wind out of the NW until 8.45AM before it swung lightly to the South then gradually increased in strength as it has over the last few days or so.
Don’t worry we have plenty of photos to back up all these calls of perfect un crowded waves and we’ll be feeding them to you with pride over the next day or two.
Weather wise it’s just been nothing but hot summer days and warm water here in Bali. Right now at 1.00PM the temperature is on 31 Celsius, Humidity is at 71%. Wind direction is now coming out of the WSW at 12-15knot.
