Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week and our latest news and best possible views on Bali’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the, yes that’s right, World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Alrighty then yesterday morning and Bali was producing some cranking waves that were doing their best to try and turn themselves in side out, well where we were anyway. As it shows in our latest photo installment wave height was in the 3-4ft class with the occasional bigger freak set. Both left and rights were on offer with a light and clean off shore wind for the final touch, everything was in place. Crowd wise it was pretty light for this place which in times gone by may have been a little more busy with such good waves coming through.
Weather wise unfortunately for photo sake it was grey and gloomy for the better part of our session with a couple of semi sunny patches. Even so the morning temperature was around 27 degree’s Celsius with a water temp on 23 Celsius.
This morning the 13th and it’s just gone 5.30AM and almost time to start getting ready to hit the road again in search of more perfect waves. So stay tuned to the baliwaves through our social media set up and we will keep you in the loop as the day delivers.
Weather wise outside it’s just starting to show a semi overcast sky, the temperature is already on 27C, Humidity is at 88%. Wind direction is just a breath out of the NNW.
Also with the wet season just around the corner I thought I’d better give you a heads up on the semi new Toll Road that runs from Nusa Dua across to Benoa Hr with another exit / entry near the airport as well. Since October 1st the owners have made it a cashless Toll. No E tag but you must have a pre paid Toll card and you still have to stop and swipe the card as well.. So unless you buy a pre paid card before you drive / ride onto it you can expect bigger delays at the toll gate and maybe even a license check if your on a bike. The old road from the airport to Benoa is pretty much exactly the same distance anyway.
On the Sport Fishing scene here my crew have been doing extremely well with some solid catches of Spanish Mackerel, one boat landing 31 fish in one session. Contact us here if you would like to know more or get out for some Balinese sports fishing.
