BALI / INDONESIA
6th – 7th November 2017
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (bringing you that little bit of Bali each day since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so I hope everyone is feeling groovy as we hit the half way mark for this week. Here’s a whole bunch of photo’s that our man Ketut smashed off the other day here on Bali’s West coast. As it photos say there was some nice little fun sized waves breaking all over the place at Funggu, plenty of lefts and rights. No shortage of surfers as can be expected when wave height starts to drop off in size. But still there were plenty of waves to be had even for the older guys.
Weather wise it was 50 / 50 with a nasty thunder storm that moved in mid afternoon.
Yesterday the 7th and wave height was getting down to almost groms only and groms at heart of course here on the West side of the island. We went back up to Canggu hoping to find some similar sized waves. But it was more like 1-2ft with some slightly bigger freak sets. Perfect size for the groms to do some shredding though.
Weather wise it was again partly cloudy with some sunny patches, even so the midday temp was at 32 Celsius and the wind swung to the ESE around 9.30AM.
Today the 8th and not much change with wave height or weather conditions for that matter here on the West Coast. Wave height here in Tuban is only showing in the 1-2ft range on the Outer Reefs. Probably find a little more size and power down at Uluwatu if your keen.
Agus Widiana texted through that there were some 2-3ft+ waves hitting his local over on the East coast but bit of a wait for the bigger set waves.
Weather wise out there so far this morning there is some high cloud with sunny patches showing from time to time. Temperature wise right now at 10.10AM the mercury is on 28 Celsius, Humidity on 80%. Wind direction is coming out of the NE at 3-6knot.
