Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (The one and only original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali and the gateway to Indonesia’s wave riddled islands.
Ok well this morning went totally as planned, our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing a nice little bump in wave height. With waist to over head waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were glassy at the time with only a breath of NE wind present.
We were thinking about taking a run over to Keramas while the tide was high through the AM but I was a bit unsure about what the wind was going to be doing by the time we got up there. Lucky for me I got a text from a friend saying that there was practically no swell showing over there at 7.30AM.
So with a little North in the wind and the tide on the run in it was a no brainer to head to our secondary location. As it shows in the photos we have loaded up for you it was a good call. Wave height as it shows was pushing well over head with 4ft sets and surfing conditions clean and tidy. No shortage of surfers as usual at this location.
Weather wise here in Bali today we had some light cloud around early this morning. But as the morning wore on it’s been nothing but blue sky and a great start to this new surfing week. Temperature wise right now at 3.45PM the mercury is on 31 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 67%. I think I mentioned something about wind direction and the direction the high clouds were moving in yesterdays report. Well I think it was sometime around 9.00AM that the wind did swing lightly to the SE and then from there gradually increase it’s strength. Currently wind direction is still coming strong out of the SE at 10 – 15knot.
Ok crew that’s us for now but tomorrow is also looking pretty good on the crystal ball with maybe a touch more swell and more of that good old SE wind. So make sure you stay tuned to the baliwaves cause we’ll be back out there on the wave hunt again.
Coming up on the 17th of March We have “Nypie Day” here on the island of Bali. Most of you already know of this one day per year here in Bali when no one is allowed out doors, no cars, bikes, airport, no TV or radio. A day of no noise, electricity or pollution right across the island of Bali. There’s a lot more to this act than I can explain in a paragraph so if you got a minute ask mister google for all the information. But most importantly if your here in Bali please respect this custom. All residents in Bali regardless of religion or nationality should be abiding by this custom.
Depending on where you are staying on the island your hosts should take care of you with meals, but don’t forget to stock up on supplies by the 16th if you need anything special.
GREAT NEWS if your interested in hitting G-Land this year make sure you contact us first and we’ll help you score a 50% discount ! Contact us on this link to score this deal
