Hello everyone and thanks for checking into the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali’s surfing scene since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and the gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise.
Ok so like I mentioned earlier this morning we were up early and well and truly on route to the surf before the sun was up trying to catch the last of the AM tide. As it shows in our latest photo gallery there were plenty of thrills and decent spills to be had, not too mention some solid and deep sand dredging tube rides. We were lucky enough to be surfing with less that a hand full of other surfers on the right hand river mouth but I tell ya after around an hour there were plenty of exposed rocks to maneuver around. While the sand bar was dredging up some sick tube rides as the tide started to run back in. All in all I’d have to say it was a low crowd on all sections while we were on the scene till 11.30AM.
Weather wise it’s just been most hot and sunny where we were at but there looked to be some solid storms going down on the Bukit from Uluwatu to Nusa Dua. Wind direction was light out of the NE early this morning before swinging to the WSW around 10.30AM.
Alright crew that’s me for this Saturday arvo, time for another surf check on the Outer Reefs and maybe even a sun set beer. But stay tuned to the baliwaves cause we will be back out on the road tomorrow for a Sunday Session.
Coming up here in Bali on the 29th of March you had better get along to the new Channel Islands surf shop at Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong in Canggu for another SURF HAPPENINGS night. Check out the new 3D Bonzer boards and grab a beer and some BBQ while your there. The show starts at 6.30PM so don’t be late and everyone is welcome.
