BALI / INDONESIA
2nd – 3rd April 2018
Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (giving you real surf reports by surfers for surfers since back in 1999) for our latest news and the very best views on surfing and weather conditions. From right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali, the gateway into Indonesia’s surfing paradise.
Ok so yesterday the 2nd and we made a pretty smart call by heading up our West Coast a little ways and scoring some really fun waves. We don’t like to name locations or give directions on how to get to em so we will just say it was Zombie Land. And I tell you when we pulled in at 6.30AM it was like a scene from the “Walking Dead” with some kind of all night trip party just finishing and lots of “beautiful people” wandering around like zombies. But at least we knew that there would be a few less in the water.
As it shows in our gallery there were lots of waves on offer with a light off shore wind that lasted through until around 9.45AM before swinging to the WSW and then eventually going all the way around to the Eastern quadrant. Yep it’s about that time of the year again for the ESE – SE winds to start blowing and deliver us off shore wind every day for the next 6-7 months here on the West Coast.
Today the 3rd and we have had quite a few phone in surf reports this morning, along with our own surf checks here on the Outer Reefs and Canggu where Ketut is at the moment. Check our Twitter feed for the full run down on locations. Plus you can add 2-3ft at Serangan thanks to Agus from Serangan. We are also heading for another solid 2.5mtr High tide at 11.37AM so get in before that goes down. Ketut will be bringing us so fresh photos again later this afternoon.
Weather wise outside this morning we have a mostly hot and sunny day happening and now at 9.30AM the temperature is already a warm 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 73%. Wind direction is still coming out of the North but should swing to the SE – SSE around midday.
Alright then have a nice Tuesday and keep an eye on the baliwaves for more news and up dates as it happens through our Twitter feed on our Home Page.
