BALI / INDONESIA
30th -31st March 2018
Hello to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves (Bali’s original surf report website since all the way back in 1999, before hipsters were invented were surfers haha) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali and the surfing gateway of Indonesia.
Ok so first up we hope you are all enjoying your long weekend, everyone here in bali certainly is I’m sure. It’s also been a busy day here in Bali for us Hindu’s with a Full Moon rising with another very important ceremony today. But all good and tomorrow we are free for yet another perfect Sunday Surf Session.
On the 29th wave height was barely surfable with only 1-2ft+ waves breaking over on the East Coast and nothing much happening here on Bali’s West Coast due to some fresh WNW – WSW wind.
Yesterday the 30th and with not a lot of swell happening we decided to take yet another run up the coast and hopefully score a little more size and fun. No camera’s just surfboards and wit were involved and we did manage to find some fun 2 – 4ft waves with only a handful of other surfers around.
Today the 31st and we had a pretty good idea of what we were in for condition wise with the swell predicted to boost into the 4-6ft class with the wind coming from the NW through the morning session. So as it shows in the photos you have just had a flick through we scored some decent waves at one of our favorite locations that tend to peel of both left and right depending on the tide.
Weather wise it was hot and sunny through till early afternoon until some clouds strated rolling in out of the NW and gave us some thunder and lighting through the late afternoon.
Right now it’s 4.18AM and as soon as we get this on line we’ll be heading off for another dawn patrol assult and hopefully some more pefect and not too crowded waves. So make sure you stick around and see what’s going on as we will be up dating the site through our @baliwaves Twitter and Instagram feeds through out the morning as usual.
We hope you have been having a well earned Easter break, things will be back to normal around here and regular reports rolling out again after the weekend. Happy Easter eggs.
