Hello crew and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping Bali surf reports real since back in 1999) for our latest news and always the best possible views from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok then, so after doing our ritual morning surf check (visual) on the Outer Reefs of Tuban and seeing that wave height was a really nice and fun looking head to well over head high. We thought we had better take a run down to Indonesia’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu (where the gate is always open to visiting surfers). As it shows in today’s latest photo gallery out of Bali there were some nice waves breaking on all 3 main section of Ulu. From Temple’s to the Main Peak and even a few scorchers screaming down the Racetrack. Wave height was ranging from head high to double head high plus on some of the bigger set waves. We were on the scene from 9.00AM through till 11.00AM and the crowd was just starting thicken as we packed up.
Driving home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there wasn’t anything happening on PP but there were a few 2-3 footers breaking on the top end of Impossible’s and if your used to riding short close outs then you’d be right at home surfing at Impossible’s at this size.
I’d say there would have also been a few waist to head high waves bending into Bingin as well even though the low tide was pretty average at 1.2mtrs.
Our team of infiltrators ove at Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa have been sending a few surf up dates through to us today and at one stage were calling in 5ft sets hitting the Peak perfectly.
Weather wise it’s been another boom shanker of a day here on the island of the God’s with the midday temperature hitting 32 degree’s.
Serangan Beach up date, The gate into Serangan is closed and no surfers allowed in according to our local source. The gate is closed indefinitely and no one even knows if it will ever be open again to the public.
