BALI / INDONEISA
7th – 8th June 2018
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (bringing you that little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so yesterday the 7th with mediocre tides and wave height showing a slight drop in size we thought we’d head up the coast (West) a little ways to see what was happening. Plus we can always count on a strong local field in the water, which means good photos for you. As it shows in today’s 50+ photo gallery wave height was in the chest to well over head high class or 2-4ft with an early morning light off shore wind. No shortage of surfers and no shortage of perfect fun sized waves.
Here in Tuban the Outer Reefs also had a few fun sized waves happening between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Middle Reef as per usual was picking up the bigger set waves.
Weather wise it was a nice morning here in the South Kuta area with light and variable morning wind before the ESE Trade wind kicked in around mid morning.
This morning the 8th and out mandatory surf check on the Outer reefs was showing smaller waves again. Only 1-2 footers out there between Kuta Reef and Airport Left and maybe just a slightly bigger freak set hitting Middle Reef with the tide dropping at the time.
Weather wise this morning we have a mostly blue sky here in South Kuta, early morning variable wind but now at 10.45AM the Trade wind is starting to kick in with the good stuff out of the ESE. Heading for a top temperature of 31 degree’s Celsius, hows that for holiday weather.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 1.0mtr Low at 11.49AM.
Hopefully by later this evening we should see a new pulse of swell hitting our reefs and beaches so stay tuned right here to the original Bali surf report website.
