Things got a little scary again with our Mt Agung the last couple of days, but glad to see the airport opening for business again last night. Looks to be volcano season just about all over the World at the moment right.
Ok so welcome to the weekend and to kick it off he’s another fun filled photo gallery from down at Indonesia’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Yesterday the 29th and wave height had backed off a smidgen, but still plenty of power on Ulu’s Main Peak section. Lot’s of over head set waves with a fresh if not strong at times ESE off shore Trade wind on it all morning. First off on arrival the numbers were not too bad but as morning progressed so did the crowd in the water. As per usual at Uluwatu there was no shortage of tube rides, radicalness and wipe outs.
Today the the 30th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban wave height was looking smaller again. Between Kuta Reef and Airport Left wave height was only breaking in the waist to chest high class with maybe a bigger freah set hitting Middle Reef before the tide filled in too much.
Our team is back down on the bukit at Uluwatu again this morning. It’s a pretty easy rule to follow, if wave height on the reefs is head high or less then it’s going to be 3-4ft+ down at Ulu right. Ketut has phoned through indeed calling it at 3-4ft on the Main Peak with still a couple running through the Racetrack. At the time, around 8 AM there were maybe 40 surfers spread from the Main Peak and down through the Racetrack sections.
Weather wise this morning here in the South Kuta area there’s mostly blue sky (9.40AM) with some fluffy white cloud moving through, temperature wise the mercury is already at 28 degree’s Celsius. The ESE Trade wind that’s blowing off shore at 10-12knot, and will probably get a little stronger as the day goes on.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.4mtr High at 10.47AM

Don’t forget Tomorrow Sunday the 1st of July has the opening ceremony for this years RipCurl Padang Padang Cup. So if you can make it down to Padang Padang beach to meet the surfers and the heat draw there will also be a press meeting and Balinese traditional Cekak dance. Starting time is 3.00PM
