BALI / INDONESIA
17th – 18th
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves (keeping the Indo images and up dates flowing to you since back in 1999) for another weekend run down on surfing and weather conditions. From right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok well as I’ve been up dating through our @baliwaves Twitter feed the weather that started yesterday on our Indonesian Independence day has been pretty ordinary and probably the most rain out of season I’ve seen in a long long time. Today the 18th is day 2 of almost non stop rain and not your average kinda Bali weather that everyone is used to. Fingers crossed it’s not going to go on for much longer, the local forecast sites are not much to go on.
Anyway there are a few waves around and the wind is only light and variable. It’s a bit to wet to head down the beach just yet, I’m not that keen to get wet heh heh. But the Uluwatu live WEBCAM on baliwaves is showing a few waves in the 3-4ft range and maybe we should see a little more size as the tide starts to run back in. Although we are in the middle of the moon phase. This mornings Low tide was only a 0.9mtr and our next High is only going to be a 1.7mtr so not a lot of tidal movement today.
Right now at 9.00AM and as I type the rain is falling hard and the sky a terrible shade of grey. What we really need is the SE Trade wind to kick in hard and blow the crap out of this fowl winter weather.
