BALI / INDONESIA
16th – 17th March 2019
Howdy people and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping Bali surf info fresh and real since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week. Not to mention our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so the weekends gone and it’s the start of yet another relentless surfing week for everyone lucky enough to be here in Bali, and it looks like it’s going to be a pretty good week of waves at that.
We ended up surfing on both sides of the island over the weekend as it shows in our latest photo gallery above. Wave height was at best hitting the slightly over head high range and even the wind wasn’t that cooperative with most cross / off shore conditions. But while most locations were not delivering much at all around the island I think our team didn’t do too bad. We also did pretty good keeping away from the crowd.
Weather wise it we had a mostly wet and over cast weekend with some sunny patches.
Today the 18th and my 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban wasn’t showing too much to write home about that’s for sure. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was only just showing in the 1-2ft range with a light NW wind.
Looking for a wave today I’d be heading over to the East Coast and maybe somewhere down towards the Southern end of the island, or just go join the crew at Keramas..
Weather wise outside right now at 12.20PM we have a full blue sky here in Tuban but there are some big banks of cloud looking down towards the Southern end on the island. Temperature wise right now the mercury is on 30 degree’s and the Humidity is at 80%. Wind direction is now dedicated to the West at 10-14knot
Tomorrows Swell Forecast is looking a lot better than today and I’m pretty sure there’s going to be plenty of waves for everyone over the next couple of days for that matter.
