BALI / INDONESIA
2nd – 3rd April 2019
Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves (keeping you up to date with Bali’s surfing scene since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so here’s the goods from yesterdays photo session at Canggu here on Bali’s West Coast. As they show there were some very nice waves hitting all 3 of the main breaks at Canggu, and some very good surfing going down by the local boys and girls.
This morning the 3rd and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right to have backed down into the 1-2ft+ range. Clean as you like surfing conditions again this morning with the wind a light ENE at the time but is predicted to swing more to the SSE as the day goes on.
Our man has taken another run back up the coast to Canggu this morning and phoned through calling wave height in the 2-3ft (waist to head high) range. No shortage of surfers which is nothing new for Canggu with Ketut calling at least 40 surfers on the river mouth right handers. Hopefully we’ll have some more fresh photos for you guys and girls when Ketut gets back to HQ.
Weather wise out side right now at 9.30AM the cloud is clearing around this part of the island and we are in for another very warm day here ion the holiday island of Bali. Wind direction is still coming out of the ENE but predicted to turn more SSE through out the day.
Looking for a wave today my pick would be to hit the beach breaks up along the Kuta to Legian stretch around the top of the tide.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.5mtr Low at 3.30PM. We also have a NEW MOON rising tomorrow night so we can also look forward to some big tidal ranges over the next few days.
Swell Forecast, Our forecasters are saying that wave height will back off a touch tomorrow and into the morning of the 4th then a nice new SSW swell should provide some nice waves into the 6th. The maps are also showing another TC forming off the top of Western Australia (6th-7th) and tracking down their coast, we might get some more shitty wind off that for a couple a days. Further out we are expecting a moderate size swell out of the SW to light up our reefs through out Bali and most of Indonesia.
Right so if it’s starting to get a bit cold downunder you guys know where to come for some winter warmth and perfect waves, Bali. just CONTACT me if you need a hand with anything, and if we can help we will.
