BALI / INDONESIA
15th – 16th May 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Here’s another fresh photo gallery that we shot and surfed yesterday the 15th. We knew there wasn’t going to be a lot of swell happening and waves were going to be at a premium so we hit the Canggu just as the sun was starting to dawn. But we were not the only ones with already half a dozen surfers in the water before us.
As it shows wave height was in the waist to head high class with a few bigger freak sets and an early morning off shore wind that lasted through until around 9.30am when the Trade wind kicked in hard out of the ESE-SE. Yeah it was only small but Canggu’s waves have always got a little bit of punch to it and it was well worth the effort for a paddle.
Today the 16th and I got the call from our Immigration office to call in for a photo and finger print session for my KITAS visa extension. While our man Ketut was at the Honda dealer checking out a new bike. But don’t worry you haven’t really missed out on anything as our surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only just showing knee high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Weather wise today it’s been a mostly cloudy type of day with the temperature now at 2.10PM currently sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius. The ESE-SE Tradey kicked in early and is now blasting away with gusts up to 20kts.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 0.5mtr Low at 2.43PM
We are also coming up to this months Full Moon on the 18th so expect those big tidal ranges over the coming week.
