BALI / INDONESIA
29th – 30th May 2019
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (The original Bali surf report since back in 1999) Make sure you keep on reading for more information on cheap surfers accommodation, surf, tide and weather info, discounts into G-Land and lots of other stuff.
ok so here’s the goods from where we were blasting away yesterday the 29th. As it shows in the photos it wasn’t the best photo shoot conditions with lots of cloud cover and a strong cross / on shore wind. But there were a few gems in there and I’m most everyone was having a good time in the 2-3ft+ waves that were on offer.
Today the 30th and out 7.15am surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height breaking in the 2-2ft+ class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was in at the time and the ESE Trade wind already hitting the 15km/h range and looking like being a good day for flying kites. So the best bet would be to head down to the bukit end of the island and try and get some shelter under the cliffs.
Weather wise out there today there was a lot of cloud blowing through earlier but they are moving across so quick and now at 11.15am we have a mostly blue sky in the Southern Kuta area. the temperature is currently on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 80% and UV level at 4. Wind direction is coming hard out of the ESE with gusts up to 40km/h. Seems to be a nasty High pressure system coming off NW Australia doing the damage.
Tomorrows surf call is showing for a bump in wave height and more strong ESE wind.
Further out our next swell should hit Bali on the 2nd of June and then more behind that on the 4th-5th. So June looks like it’s going to get off to a good start surf wise.
The next tide today will be a 0.8mtr Low at 1.56pm. (sorry I wrote 0.6mtr Low on our Bali Morning Surf n Weather report)
We also loaded a fresh video clip on the home page so take a look if you have a spare 3.5 mins. The footage was shot all over the island and has got a little bit of everything in it.
