BALI / INDONESIA
9th – 10th July 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Okay so yesterday the 9th we decided on taking a run back up the West Coast to see what was happening up at the A frames of Balian beach. Arriving pretty much right on sun rise to find wave height hitting the peak in the 3-5ft class with only a handful of surfers in the water. And with no surfers riding my fav inside section we didn’t take long to get out there and grab some waves. Surfing conditions even though it was glassy it still had a little bump on it from the dropping tide. While the water was cool and crystal clear. It was around 8.30am that it started to get a little bit crowded and 9.30am when the ESE Trade wind started to kick in turning conditions cross / on shore.
Today the 10th and our 7.00am surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was showing 2-4ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The bigger set waves were hitting Middles as usual with the tide running out at the time. The ESE Trade wind was already blowing at 1–15km/h at the time providing clean off shore wind.
Our team has taken a run down to the Southern bukit end of the island to see what was happening under the protection of the cliffs. News is of some clean and tidy little left hand barrels with only 15 surfers in the water at the time. So we should have some hot photos to show when Ketut gets back home.
Weather wise outside there was a lot of cloud around early but is clearing up fast now that the ESE Trade wind is hitting gusts up to 30+km/h

Ok crew make sure you take a good look through the baliwaves cause this is one big website loaded full of everything to do with surfing in Bali. If your in Tuban make sure you drop in for some fresh ground ESPRESSO COFFEE ok.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is showing wave height to be slowing bumping up a little more through this afternoon and the level out tomorrow for some good sized waves. This swell direction has turned a little more to the West so we can expect bigger waves along our West Coast this time around. Expect the ESE Trade wind to be lowing non stop and gusty.
