Hi surfers and thanks again for tuning into the original Bali surf report website that has been keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999. Thanks to our friends at SwellBali (surfer hotel) located down on the stunning Bingin beach on Bali’s Southern bukit peninsular for another photo gallery from their back yard. Read on below for the vibe down there during the Corona virus pandemic.
Bingin
31st August 2020
The vibe down in Bingin has been nice and friendly, good waves seem to keep everyone happy and their minds off the dire financial situation that a lot of people are in. It seems a fair amount of emergency stay ‘tourists’ have left the Bingin area (or Bali) in the last few weeks, the Bali locals and expats that remain, have been enjoying good Bingin / Impossibles waves with smaller crowd levels and mellow vibes in the water.
Weekends see an influx of Seminyak and Canggu expat crowd, but even that crowd seems to be getting smaller every week as the pandemic goes on. Not many domestic visitors seem to make their way to the Bingin area.
Most warungs on the beach are open, probably just about covering costs, if that.
