Here’s a few photos from the 24th and 25th to to give you an idea what it’s been like on the black sand beaches of Bali. Wave height was right down in the “better than nothing” range and we did make the most of it with a half full approach.
This morning the 26th and we headed off in search of semi un crowded waves or like most surfers dream of an empty 3-5ft perfect left and rights.. We were more realistic on the call and knew there wasn’t going to be a heck of a lot happening. So we were happily surprised when the sun rose to reveal a nice 2-4ft breaking from the Sand Bar to the River mouth. We saw 3 surfers paddle out in the dark and then more and more arrive. So it was looking almost hopeless. But the numbers were not too bad and pretty much stayed the same all morning till we packed up around 10.00am Between 12-15 surfers on the Sandbar and 14-18 on the River mouth.
The Rivermouth rights were my pick for the most consistent and better size with the bigger set waves hitting an honest 4ft. Even though the numbers were not to bad there was still plenty of blatant dropping in going down.
Weather wise today we have had some perfect beach conditions with mostly just blue sky. Right now nothing has changed and the temperature at 4.00pm is on 29C humidity level is at 76% and the wind is ESE at 26km/h.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is calling for a noticeable drop in wave height through out tomorrow. The wave period reflect it as well dropping from today’s 15 seconds down to 13 seconds tomorrow. Wind is predicted to be a fresh ESE-SE.
