So, here’s a handful of photos from yesterday the 13th at Canggu. We were there at the crack of dawn and as it shows in some of these photos it was silky smooth. The only thing missing was a blue sky and sunshine.
Today the 14th and with the charts calling pretty much the same conditions as yesterday we couldn’t resist the temptation to go back for more. Lets face it, I can resist almost anything except temptation. We pulled in just before the dawn and it was looking good, exactly as the charts I look at called. 2-4ft with a few 5ft freak sets hitting the river mouth and slightly smaller waves breaking on the left hand sand bar. There was a solid 1.99mtr high tide just after sun up and a light wind that was all but blowing off shore. The only thing missing again this morning was that elusive blue sky. Tomorrow could be the go again looking at the charts.
Weather wise early morning cloud cover before the sun came out around mid morning. By that time the ESE Trade wind was also starting to gear up. Right now at 4.20pm it’s still a warm 29C with the humidity at 74%. Wind direction is ESE at 25km/h.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for wave height to be tapering off through out the day with the period dropping from 13 seconds to 12 seconds. Hopefully more light and variable wind before the Tradey kicks in.
Ok folks thanks for being so awesome tuning in today. Right now I need to shower shave and tidy myself up for a Sushi dinner invite, lucky me. We will be out there again somewhere hunting for some clean waves and good vibes, so stay tuned to our FB and Inst pages for those early up dates.
Oh yeah we also have a a rare tropical paradise hide away property on offer in the Mentawai islands. For anyone interested you can see the details here
