Alright it has been absolutely pumping here in Bali the last couple of days and we have been all over it. The dawn patrol has been the best attack for getting our wave count up before the lazy arrival of the main stream traffic. Here’s a few photos from yesterday the 15th when there was better size. Not so many tube rides just super clean and perfect tapering waves.
Today the 16th and we were indeed back on the scene as the sun was just poking up over the eastern sea board. Wave height had dropped off a little but still some nice and consistent over head 4 foot set waves. Light off shore wind early before the ESE Trade wind started to puff up around 9.30am. Crowd wise it wasn’t too bad with the peak of it around 9.00am and even I managed to get a couple of nice ones thanks to Native surfboards / Boardriders Echo Beach.
Speaking of the Boardriders Echo Beach Super Surf Store they are having a mega surfboard sale with some huge discounts on some of their stock check out the promo in the photo gallery for more info
Weather wise it was cool early this morning (it is winter right) especially since my old fav wetsuit vest was stolen a couple of months back. But I do have to sy the water was nice and warm(ish), well not cold anyway. Lots of blue sky and right now at 3.45pm it’s a good looking afternoon with the temp 29C, humidity at 74%. Wind direction is now ESE at 23km/h. We can expect the sun to set at 6.08pm if your chasing that sunset view.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling in a NEW SWELL. Starting to show tomorrow morning and then increasing in size through out the day. It should be pretty solid by late afternoon. Wind direction is predicted to be fresh out of the ESE.
