Yesterday the 16th and seeing as though it was a Sunday we decided we would be taking the day off and having a bit of a sleep in, But I did get reports in from Keramas of absolutely pumping waves. Likewise up at Balian more news of solid 6ft A frame peaks running right through to the inside ledge. While here on the Outer reefs of Tuban wave height was pushing 2-4ft between Kuta reef and Airport left. Oh well, gotta take a break every now and again right.
This morning the 17th and with the SE Tradey already liked in early we voted on a return to the bukit to Balangan. As it shows in our photos from this morning there were a few nice ones. But there were also plenty of too fast close outs as well. That pretty well sums up Balangan, but if you are patient and know which waves to look for you can score an easy 200mtr ride most days. With wave height backed off a touch today th surf schools were out in numbers and by 10.00am there must have been 100 surfers scattered through the line up.
Weather wise it has been a classic day in the tropics with pretty much just blue sky and still that way now at 2.30pm. The temp is currently on 28C with the humidity at 78%. Wind direction is SE at 29km/h.
The next tide today will be a reef exposing 0.22mtr Low tide at 4.22pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for just a slight drop in wave height with a slightly shorter period. The wind chart is saying to expect strong ESE wind.
The 19th – 20th – 21st should have a solid swell hitting Bali.
